The Dune & Coastal Erosion sub-group have been making great progress in planting marram grass to help protect the Fenit Island Dunes.
The sand dune conservation project is up and running. Thanks to Martha and Genie from Maharees Heritage and Conservation for giving a marram grass talk and assisting with planting.
What is Marram Grass?
Marram grass planting is a very practical and natural way to enhance the coastal systems and protect against coastal erosion and sea-level rise, which are both increasing due to climate change.
