FTH Signage Group update

The Fenit Town Hall Signage Group has been busy this summer, with the stone sign at the entrance to Fenit erected in May. This was funded by Cllr. Terry O’Brien (KCC) and created by Billy Leen.

The ‘Welcome to Fenit’ sign was erected on October 1st; it features St Brendan the navigator, the lighthouse and visual icons of all the amenities available in Fenit. It also features the logo of the Sustainable Development Goals to which Fenit Town Hall is committed to working towards for all locals, residents, tourists and businesses. Fenit is the first village, town, or county in Ireland to visually implement this global framework.

Next for the Signage Group is a St. Brendan Information sign funded by a KCC Grant and the St. Brendan Heritage Group, and an outdoor communication playground sign for those with additional needs donated by Aisling Collins of Ascend Learning & Behaviour Support.
